The City of Charleston will celebrate the holiday season this December with Holiday Magic in Historic Charleston, offering family-oriented activities, performances and decorations that capture the spirit of the season for everyone in the community.

Festivities kick off on Saturday, December 4th with the opening of a special extended Holiday Farmers Market in Marion Square followed by the Official City of Charleston Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 4:30pm in the park. 

Then head to the waterfront the same evening for the Holiday Parade of Boats from 5-8pm on the Cooper River.  Or, purchase a ticket at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina and attend the Oyster Roast viewing party of the Parade of Boats - www.charlestonharborresort.com.

Chanukah in the Square is December 5th from 4pm to 6pm. The candles on the Kwanzaa Kinari will also be lit December 26th.

Then ring in the New Year at Happy New Year, Charleston! on December 31st from 4:30-10:30pm in Marion Square, an admission-free, non-alcoholic, family-friendly celebration of the arts.
