City Gallery at Waterfront Park

Guidelines for Special Events

 

  • The City Gallery is only available to non-profit events focusing on the arts
  • All event activities and logistics must be pre-approved by the Gallery Manager
  • Renters and/ or caterers are responsible for all set-up, breakdown and clean-up

 Hours

  • Events must conclude by 9:00pm
  • Clean-up must be completed by 10:00pm
  • The gallery must be vacant, clean, and locked by 10:00pm

Set Up

  • No changes to the art exhibit will be allowed
  • Sightlines to the artwork must remain unencumbered
  • You CANNOT NAIL, STICK, OR DRILL any decoration/art work into gallery walls
  • All food, beverage And information’s stations shall be located at a safe distance (as determined by the Gallery Manager) from any piece of artwork

Food Service

  • Food Services must be professionally catered
  • No food is to be cooked on-site and no stoves, propane tanks or other such cooking hardware will be allowed on the premises
  • Staging for catering must be set up in the garage in the first two parking space marked “Reserved Gallery” - no vehicles or stations shall block the normal use of the garage or driveway at any time.

Clean-Up

  • All trash must be sealed in trash bags and removed from the premises prior to 10:00pm on the night of the event with no exceptions
  • No equipment, trash, serving trays/dishes or leftover food may be left at the gallery for pick-up the next day
  • Pick-up of rental equipment must begin at 9:00pm following the conclusion of the event

Music

  • No amplified music will be allowed in the gallery at any time- only acoustic presentations are allowed.
  • All musical performances must be pre-approved by the Director of Cultural Affairs in writing

Parking

  • Vehicles are NOT to park in driveways on either side of the gallery
  • Unloading may not be done within the garage(with the permission of the General Manager and based upon capacity) or from the street
  • Any parking fees(tickets or towing) incurred on the part of an illegally parked individual will the sole responsibility of the individual, please pay attention to posted signage
  • Parking is available either on Prioleau Street or in the parking garage across from the gallery
  • The Gallery does not validate for parking in are garages
