REFERENCE AND INSTRUCTION LIBRARIAN - Charleston Southern University

The L. Mendel Rivers Library at Charleston Southern University invites applications for a Reference and Instruction Librarian.

QUALIFICATIONS: ALA accredited masters’ degree required. Demonstrated knowledge of print and online resources, knowledge of current trends in information literacy, libraries, and higher education, customer service orientation, ability to work collaboratively with other librarians and faculty across campus, effective written and spoken communication skills required. Academic library experience, teaching experience preferred, reference experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Reference and Instruction Librarian serves the university community by offering traditional and nontraditional reference service, conducting bibliographic instruction, and ensuring a professional level of arrangement and access to the resources held in the CSU collection. This 12 month, non-tenure track position carries faculty rank.
