Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of demonstrated experience in web design, development and production, search engine optimization, web accessibility and usability, web analytics, and web security. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, PHP, content management systems, search engine optimization, web analytics, Section 508 compliance, web accessibility and usability, web security, and rich media. Competence using Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, and Illustrator. Proficient in configuration and maintenance of Linux, Apache, Microsoft IIS, Windows and Mac OSX. Some knowledge of SQL, Java, and Perl is required. Experience administering and supporting WordPress MU, Quicktime Streaming Server, Flash Media Server, Urchin Web Analytics, Hannon Hill Cascade Server, and SunGard Higher Education Luminis portal preferred.
Collaborates with existing webmaster to achieve strategic goals; shares responsibilities for systems maintenance with existing webmaster.
Configures and maintains website search appliance(s) and recommends search engine optimization techniques.
Performs critical system work relating to configuring and maintaining the College’s web server and related software.
Primary duties are to design, develop and maintain various divisional and departmental websites and services, analyze business needs, recommend solutions, and provide leadership and coordination of effort for departmental website support staff.
Responsible for administration of web applications, as well as development, writing and maintaining scripts for the web server operating systems.
Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting web analytics to key stakeholders; recommend changes to improve web usability.
Responsible for planning and scheduling web application events such as upgrades and software installations.
Serves as project manager for creation and maintenance of department, division, college web pages and sites; ensures their accessibility and compliance with Section 508; provides consultative support and training to staff on web practices and policies, the use of web production technologies, and the College’s content management system.
Additional Comments Regarding Position:
Overnight travel may occasionally be required for professional development. Minimal after hours support possible.
Salary is commensurate with education/experience which exceeds the minimum requirements.
Salary: $36,840 - $52,500
