Midtown/Sheri Grace Productions - Auditions for The Shadow Box

A Dark Comedy written by Michael Cristofer. Directed by Jan Gilbert.

In this award-winning dramatic triptych, three terminally ill patients dwell in separate cottages on a hospital grounds. The three are attended and visited by family and close friends: Agnes and her mother Felicity, estranged further by the latter’s dementia; Brian and Beverly whose martial complications are exacerbated by Brian’s new lover, Mark; and Joe and Maggie, unready for the strain of Joe’s impending death and it’s effect on their teenage son, Stephen.

Joe - 30’s - 40’s - A working man
Maggie - 30’s - 40’s - Joe’s wife
Stephen - 12 - 17 - Joe and Maggie’s son
Brian - 20’s-30’s - Former English professor
Mark - 20’s-30’s - Brian’s significant other
Beverly - 20’s-30’s - Brian’s former wife
Felicity - 60’s-70’s - Spirited but slightly senile woman
Agnes - 30’s-50’s - Daughter of Felicity
Interviewer (Male or Female, any age) Doctor/Therapist for patients

PERFORMANCES WILL BE JANUARY 14 - 30, 2010 AT THE CHARLESTON ACTING STUDIO.

AUDITION DATE: November 3 & 5, 2009 both at 7pm. (Callbacks will be Nov. 5 at 8pm at The Charleston Acting Studio)

AUDITION LOCATION: Charleston Acting Studio, 915 Folly Road - at Camp Road (Behind Walgreens, next to Family Dollar)
