Backstage Assistance at The Nutcracker:
You must be at least 18 years of age to work on this committee and are subject to approval by the Resident Choreographer. Under the supervision of Don Cantwell, important duties include various projects in wardrobe; either at the Studio or backstage during performances. There is also a great need for dressers for our Nutcracker production.

Fund-Raisers and Special Event Assistance:
Planning, coordinating, and staging special events during the season when needed. On occasion you will be welcoming new dancers and guest artists. This committee is responsible for our end of the season appreciation party for volunteers and dancers, as well as our “Art for Dance” fundraiser and “Masterpieces of Dance” Gala held every spring.

King Street Performances & Events Assistance:
Selling and preparing the gourmet sandwiches sold at our 12-noon shows during the Piccolo Spoleto Festival each May. We need folks who are comfortable handling money and making change. Preparing drinks and pouring sodas, staffing the Ballet Boutique, assisting with public relations and outreach activities.

The Nutcracker Boutique:
This is our largest committee and will be responsible for the planning, set-up, stocking, working and breakdown of CBT’s Nutcracker Boutique. We need those comfortable handling money, making change, gift wrapping, helping folks make selections and just helping to keep things running smoothly in a hectic, festive environment. The Boutique will be in the main lobby of Gaillard Auditorium at every Nutcracker performance.

Staffing the CBT Ballet School Office:
All departments and all skill levels are involved assisting on weekdays during business hours. General office duties may include organizing and maintaining files, database entry, research work, phone calling, assembling materials for mailings, writing, editing, updating Excel spreadsheets, copying, as well as maintaining records, photos, and clippings for our archives. Occasional help with large mailings or weekly help is also highly appreciated.
