CONTRIBUTE

pineapple-fountainWelcome to the new CharlestonArts.sc

We hope you consider this web site to be a useful resource as you look for ways to enjoy all that Charleston has to offer in the realm of Arts and Culture.

We are grateful to Carolina Media Services (www.only.sc) for their generous donation of their staff time and resources to build this exciting new web site. This project would not be possible without their support. Please visit some of their other sites at www.radio.sc and www.magazines.sc among thousands of other sites. This is a wonderful example of a public/private partnership to achieve the greater good for our community.

We are also appreciative of the dedication and talent of our wonderful college interns and Office of Cultural Affairs’ staff for their efforts in researching and programming all of the information you see in throughout this web site. The OCA recruits and trains up to 30 interns per year to work on special projects for the office that benefit all of our area arts organizations. The 2009 interns have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition and will continue to support its upkeep by adding new content daily to keep our visitors, residents and others up to date on all our wonderful city has to offer.

If you enjoy what you see in this site, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Office of Cultural Affairs. Another way you can support the outreach projects of the Office of Cultural Affairs is by supporting our partnership with AbundaTrade.com. Mail or drop off at our office, your new or used cd’s, dvd’s, books, videos, and other gently used media that you no longer want. AbundaTrade.com will buy these items and give the proceeds to the Office of Cultural Affairs to support our outreach projects. Just mail or deliver your items to: ATTN: Development Manager, Office of Cultural Affairs, 180 Meeting Street, Suite 200, Charleston, SC 29401.
