Business Development & Tourism Coordinator - Town of Mount Pleasant
The Town of Mount Pleasant is seeking a Business Development & Tourism Coordinator to perform a variety of complex administrative and professional duties to assist the Office of Community Development and Tourism. Primary emphasis will be to implement the Town’s Business Development program and management of the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market. Must possess valid SC Driver’s License, pass drug screen and background check.
REQUIREMENTS: Among others, will 1) execute the Town’s Business Development program, 2) manage The Farmers Market and become staff liaison to Farmers Market Advisory Board, 3) will assist in development of Town of Mount Pleasant websites, brochures, outdoor advertising and community events as part of the Town’s strategic marketing campaign, 4) will conduct meetings and speak publicly to provide information to residents, property owners, developers, investors and their associations, all toward promoting strong business growth in the Town of Mount Pleasant.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years of work experience in business management, tourism management, event planning or related field. Web and software skills required, specifically PageMaker 7.0, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Graphic skills a plus.
SALARY: $41,870.40
